Since 1953 we have been supporting children, young people and adults with a wide range of complex learning and physical disabilities. Our aim is to enable those with a learning and physical disability to live a fulfilled and independent life.

We're looking for Support Workers for our Saturday Children's Group

We are looking for Support Workers to join our Children's and Young Peoples team in Heaton Moor, Stockport to take a person-centred approach, supporting children and young people with additional needs to take part in building based activity sessions. Activities can include but not limited to music, sensory play, arts and crafts, baking, outdoor play and much more. We are looking for people who can demonstrate compassion and empathy in their approach and who are passionate about supporting children and young people with additional needs. This is a fantastic opportunity for somebody who is studying to work in education or health and social care who would like to gain experience working with Children and young people with additional needs. Available shifts are Saturdays 9:45am-5:45pm.

What we are looking for;

– Can support daily routines to provide structure and stability for the people we support and build meaningful relationships.

– Promote independence and are committed to supporting our residents to receive an excellent standard of care and giving them the opportunity to live a full and active life.

– Understand the needs of and a positive attitude towards people with disabilities.

– Align to our values and share our passion for what we do and why we do it.

– Have excellent communication skills, both verbally and written (including basic IT skills)

– Previous demonstratable experience in care.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: £12.72 per hour

Expected hours: 7.5 per week
