* 36 hours per week, 52.14 weeks per year, fixed term until 09 August 2026
* Interviews will take place on Tuesday 11 November 2025
* Start date is Monday 15 December until 9 September 2026
* Windyknowe Primary School is seeking to appoint a highly motivated and nurturing ELC Practitioner to join the team
Responsibilities
* Work as part of a forward‑thinking team, providing high quality, caring interactions and learning and teaching experiences
* Respond to the individual needs of each child and bring a sound knowledge of child development
* Support the delivery of effective early years provision and learning activities
* Demonstrate breadth and depth of experience in an early year's educational establishment
Qualifications & Requirements
* Educated to HNC/SVQ3 level in Early Education and Childcare or provide equivalent qualifications
* Registration with the Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC); six months from commencement to become registered
* If not already registered with SSSC, you must add West Lothian Council to your account
* This post is considered Regulated Work with children and/or protected adults under the PVG Scheme; from the start, you will need to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme update check prior to a formal offer
Other information
This post requires registration with SSSC and adheres to PVG Scheme requirements. The post is open to applicants who meet the eligibility criteria and supports flexible rota arrangements to cover opening hours (open 50 weeks per year).
