Your Role & Responsibilities
This role sits at the heart of our business: design. Whether collaborating within a multidisciplinary team on complex, large-scale programmes or owning the delivery of smaller, self-contained projects, you will be responsible for ensuring design excellence that meets both internal milestones and client expectations.
Key responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
·Leading or contributing to the design and development of precision-engineered systems from concept through to delivery.
·Translating customer requirements into robust, innovative design solutions.
·Producing high-quality CAD models, detailed drawings, and supporting documentation.
·Conducting design reviews and implementing feedback to continuously improve outputs.
·Collaborating closely with key stakeholders to ensure seamless integration across all project phases.
·Managing time effectively to meet project timelines and budget constraints.
·Supporting technical discussions with clients, suppliers, and partners as needed.
·Ensuring all design work complies with relevant industry standards and internal quality processes.
What You'll Bring
Skills & Experience
·Mechanical Engineering degree (2:1 or above) or equivalent qualification (relevant industry experience considered equally valuable).
·2+ years of experience with CATIA V5
·Working knowledge of 3DExperience is preferrable, but not required
·Demonstrable mechanical design experience in at least automotive, aerospace or the defence sector.
·A good working knowledge of mechanisms and materials.
·Ability to apply engineering first principles to complex problems.
