About the Role: As an SEN Learning Support, you will work alongside class teachers and the SENCO to deliver individualised learning support to pupils with a range of needs including autism, ADHD, and speech and language difficulties. Your presence will play a crucial role in ensuring all learners have the opportunity to succeed both academically and socially. Job Responsibilities: Provide 1:1 or small group support to students with SEN Adapt learning activities to meet individual pupil needs Implement behaviour management strategies in line with school policies Promote a positive, respectful and safe learning environment Support the development of pupils’ social skills and confidence Liaise with teaching staff, parents and external professionals Job Requirements: Experience supporting children or young people with SEN in an educational setting A caring, patient and resilient nature Strong communication and teamwork skills Knowledge of safeguarding and child protection policies (training can be provided) A relevant qualification (e.g. CACHE Level 2/3, or similar) is desirable Understanding of various Special Education Needs conditions, including autism and ADHD, etc. Have an updated CV ( covering the last ten years barring any unexplained gaps ) and an enhanced DBS registered to the Update Service (or be willing to apply for one).
