The School of Health Sciences is part of a highly successful and vibrant faculty, frequently commended for our partnership working across the health and social care sector. Supported by our simulation strategy and resources, the school delivers a range of undergraduate and postgraduate courses leading to registration in nursing, midwifery, and allied healthcare professions. The Post
We are seeking to appoint two experienced Clinical Simulation Fellows committed to contributing to the university’s excellence in teaching and learning. We welcome applications from both experienced academics and practitioners/educators who have delivered simulation in clinical settings and are keen to develop an academic career. The School would also consider part-time working and/or secondments from staff employed in local healthcare organisations. This opportunity is open to current registrants.
As a Clinical Simulation Fellow, you will facilitate simulation-based learning, research, and knowledge exchange across our healthcare provision. You will provide an excellent student experience in various formats, where diversity, inclusivity, and equality are celebrated. We seek enthusiastic and motivated team players, and in return, we will support your continued professional development.
The Person
You will have a passion for education, thrive on student success, and possess ambition and an inquiring mind. Opportunities include completing a PGCHE, progressing through our GOLD framework to achieve HEA senior fellowship, and contributing to faculty-wide research and knowledge exchange activities. There may also be opportunities to undertake doctoral studies through a professional doctorate or PhD programme.
