Salary: Negotiable, depending on experience

Were representing a forward-thinking main contractor thats quickly establishing itself as a key player in the social housing sector. Off the back of multiple recent project wins, theyre continuing to grow and theyre now looking for an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join the team and support their expanding portfolio of work across North Yorkshire.
The Role:
As Quantity Surveyor, youll play a vital role in managing the financial and contractual aspects of new-build and refurbishment social housing projects. Youll be involved from pre-construction through to final account, ensuring projects are commercially sound and delivered within budget.
Key Responsibilities:
Preparation and management of project budgets and cost plans
Measure and value works, manage variations, and agree final accounts
Prepare tender documentation, subcontractor packages, and procurement schedules
Monitor project costs and provide regular reports to senior management
Assist with contract administration and ensure compliance with contractual obligations
Support the site team with commercial guidance throughout the project lifecycle
Build strong relationships with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers
Requirements:
Proven experience in a Quantity Surveyor role, ideally within social or affordable housing
Excellent knowledge of JCT contracts and UK construction practices
Strong commercial acumen and attention to detail
Able to manage multiple projects and deadlines
Relevant degree or qualification in Quantity Surveying (or equivalent)
Full UK driving licence regional travel may be required
