About The Role
Our Security Team play a crucial part in supporting the airport to thrive and operate seamlessly. They provide the smooth and timely processing of passengers and carry out aviation security duties across the airport. The role includes day-to-day security duties and collaboration with other teams to ensure a positive passenger journey.
Responsibilities
* I will undergo all required Security training to ensure full compliance with CAA, company, and aviation legislation and safety procedures.
* I will be responsible for the screening of passengers and baggage in line with the regulations set by the CAA.
* I will monitor the building and grounds through CCTV monitoring and physical patrols.
* I will perform various paperwork and administrative duties.
* I will work with my team and colleagues from other departments to meet our goal of providing passengers with a positive journey through the airport.
* I will embody the Airports ‘One Team’ culture and may undertake other activities to support the needs of the business.
* I understand the Airport operates 24/7 and I may be scheduled to work any shift during operating hours, including early mornings, late nights, weekends and bank holidays.
Skills, Knowledge And Expertise
* I can pass a colour-blind test to enable me to use the X-Ray Machines.
* I have strong communication skills and can confidently communicate with colleagues and customers of all levels.
* I deliver excellent standards of customer service, quality and attention to detail.
* I have resided in the UK for the last 3 years (vetting requirement related to CTC background checks; if not, discussions will be held with the People Team).
* Experience in both security and aviation is not essential but would be advantageous.
