Overview
Contract type: Permanent. Department: Learning Disability and Transition Team. Location: County Hall, Newport, Isle of Wight and agile / home working. Salary: Grade 5, £26,402 to £26,824 per annum pro-rata (actual salary 15hrs £10,703.51 to £10,874.59).
A rare opportunity has arisen for the Adult Social Care Learning Disability and Transition Team to appoint two Administrative Officers to provide a full range of administrative duties and support to our busy Adult Social Care Team. We require one full-time member of staff (37 hours) and one part-time member of staff (15 hours).
Responsibilities
* Provide administration support to the team, including producing high quality minutes for chair approval and facilitating various meetings (including MARM, MDT, safeguarding).
* Manage room bookings and coordinate attendees to attend in person or hybrid meetings; capture outcomes decided during meetings.
* Participate in the wider administrative team rotation and duties, including general procurement processes (small purchases and reconciliation).
* Work in an agile environment (home andCounty Hall) to support administrative tasks such as printing and posting correspondence in line with the local authority data protection policy.
* Organise and minute confidential and sensitive meetings to a high standard; manage meetings with complex information; demonstrate proven minute-taking skills.
* Gather and analyse data, maintain excellent IT skills, and work with a variety of IT packages, including Excel.
* Review and implement new systems within the service; communicate effectively with team members and the Team Manager (verbal and written).
Requirements / Qualifications
* Excellent minute-taking skills for confidential and sensitive meetings.
* Strong IT literacy with experience using Excel and other IT packages.
* Ability to gather and analyse data and to implement new systems within the service.
* Clear verbal and written communication; ability to work closely with team members and the Team Manager.
* Flexible, agile working approach, including potential home working and use of County Hall facilities.
