Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Office Cleaner/Facilities Operative to maintain a clean and hygienic environment within our premises. The successful candidate will play a vital role in ensuring that all office areas are kept tidy, safe, and welcoming for staff and visitors alike. Previous experience in commercial cleaning or facilities services is preferred. This role offers an excellent opportunity to work in a professional setting with a supportive and friendly team.
Responsibilities
* Perform daily cleaning tasks including dusting, vacuuming, mopping, and sanitising office surfaces and communal areas
* Cleaning of other premises when required.
* Maintain cleanliness of toilets, kitchens, and break rooms, ensuring supplies are stocked and hygiene standards are met
* Dispose of waste responsibly and ensure recycling procedures are followed
* Clean windows, glass partitions, and other fixtures as required
* Manage stock within the office to include refreshments, stationery and cleaning products as above
* Report any maintenance issues or hazards to management promptly
* Maintain and regularly test Fire and Intruder alarms
* Any other duties as required by the Firm.
Requirements
* Prior experience in commercial cleaning or facilities services is desirable but not essential.
* Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining high standards of cleanliness
* Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
* Good communication skills and a professional attitude
* Reliable, punctual, and committed to maintaining a safe working environment
* Ability to handle cleaning chemicals safely and responsibly in accordance with health & safety regulations
* Car driving licence preferable
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent
Pay: Up to £25,000.00 per year
Expected hours: 16 – 37.5 per week
