Domiciliary Care and Support Worker
Location: West Sussex (Crawley, Burgess Hill, East Grinstead, Horsham)/Surrey (Caterham, Warlingham)
Salary: up to £13.50an hour
Hours: Bank, Part-time, Temp to permanent
Driving Licence: UK driving licence- It is essential to have your own transportation.

We are an expanding organisation based in Crawley, offering Domiciliary Care and Supported Living services. Our team is composed of skilled professionals who possess experience in supporting individuals with autism, learning disabilities, dementia, older age or frailty, long-term health conditions, and complex needs. Staff members undergo comprehensive training, including safeguarding, positive behaviour support, person-centred planning, medication management, communication techniques, and equality and diversity. Requirements
· A valid UK driving licence and your own car are required.
· Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, are essential.
· You must have the legal right to live and work in the UK.
· Previous experience in care or support settings is preferred, but candidates without experience may be considered. Training will be provided.
Responsibilities
· Providing high-quality support with clients' daily routines aligns with CQC guidelines and regulations. This includes assistance with washing, dressing, continence care, and personal hygiene, from morning care to bedtime routines.
· Documenting detailed care notes for each client visit.
· Helping clients access the community for appointments, leisure activities, and community events.
· Assisting clients with light domestic tasks, such as cleaning, laundry, and shopping.
· Planning person-centred activities to enhance clients' well-being.
· Administering prescribed medications safely and assisting clients in ordering and collecting their medication when necessary.
· Communicating accurately with clients' families or next of kin.
· Supporting clients in remaining safe in their homes while encouraging independence whenever possible.
· Providing positive behaviour support and a structured routine as needed.
· Supporting clients in developing daily skills, such as budgeting, self-care, communication, and decision-making.
· Assisting clients in developing social skills and maintaining meaningful connections.

Affinity Care and Support provide domiciliary care for adults aged 18+ who may require support due to:
· Learning disabilities
· Autism spectrum conditions
· Physical disabilities
· Mental health needs
· Older age or frailty
· Long-term health conditions
