We have an exciting opportunity to recruit 5 new band 7 permanent Mental Health Practitioners non[1]medical prescriber, to work in the Enfield Primary Care Network (PCNs). The role is part funded through the Additional Roles Reimbursement Scheme (ARRS). Successful candidates must be experienced mental health practitioners and have experience of working in a Primary Care and/or Community Mental Health Team setting. The intention is to focus services on local communities and local GP practices to help rebuild and reconnect healthcare teams across the communities they serve. This practitioner role will provide targeted care according to the needs of the population by supporting the PCN clinical strategy. This is an exciting role for nurse prescriber who is proactive and passionate about innovation and providing high-quality care to people who have been identified as in need of mental health support in a primary care setting. This new role will work collaboratively between Primary Care and Secondary Mental Health Services as part of an Integrated Model of Care.
The intention is to focus services around local communities and local GP practices to help rebuild and reconnect healthcare teams across the communities they serve. This practitioner role will provide targeted care according to the needs of the population by supporting the PCN clinical strategy.
This role will work across an identified Primary Care Network to provide early assessment, treatment and improved access to appropriate care pathways and provide evidence-based interventions for people with mental illness.
The practitioner will facilitate onward access to other secondary care-based services, third sector services and link in with existing support services via the Primary Care Network.

The post holder will be an experienced Non medical prescriber who acts within their professional boundaries. They will work as part of a dynamic, multi-disciplinary team, taking responsibility for areas of chronic disease management and undertaking clinical medication reviews.
Successful candidate must be a great team player, but capable of independent and autonomous work as well as being part of the multi-disciplinary team.

Person specification
Qualifications
Essential criteria
* NMC Registered Mental Health Nurse
* Evidence of further post-registration education and training.
Desirable criteria
* Relevant qualification in Psychosocial Interventions for people with and mental health needs
* Non-Medical Prescriber V300 NMC registered.
Professional Experience
Essential criteria
* Significant clinical experience in the community and / or hospital based services
* Experience of developing, leading and maintaining effective working relationships with external partners to include Primary Care, Social Care and the Third sector.
Skills and Knowledge
Essential criteria
* Understanding of statutory policy relating to mental health care delivery incl. Care Programme Approach, National Service Framework for Mental Health, Care Act and the Mental Health Act
* The ability to implement clinical and line management supervision.
Desirable criteria
* Training and advanced skills in a specialised approach such as psycho-social interventions, dual diagnosis, personality disorder or assertive outreach
* In-depth understanding of the risks associated with NMP and the management of side effects and medication errors Well-developed analytical and judgement skills.
