Based in our Maldon warehouse, we are looking for a practical, dynamic and impressive individual. One looking to develop themselves and actively support their immediate team and the broader company.
The successful applicant will report to the Project Operations Manager, be tasked with supporting Quality Control test builds and the efficient and accurate handling of components through the warehouse. Activities will include standard warehouse duties such as goods in/out but also off site tasks such as deliveries and assisting our install team on client locations when required.
Key Responsibilities:
* Loading and unloading deliveries and verifying the contents of incoming shipments
* Picking and packing orders from stock
* Ensuring that all goods are stored safely and securely in compliance with health and safety regulations
* Accurately recording inventory levels and completing stock checks as required
* Maintaining a clean and organised work area
* Operating warehouse equipment such as pallet jacks, forklifts, and reach trucks
* Assisting with other warehouse duties as required
* Test builds and product checks – to ensure client-side work is right first time.
* Advise of errors, damage, shortfalls and other anomalies.
* Undertake delivery and installation duties as required, this will be both in and out of normal business hours.
Skills & Experience
* Previous practical and administrative warehouse, assembly or logistical experience.
* Good communication skills and the ability to work well as part of a team and independently.
* Good numerical and literacy skills, with the ability to accurately record data
* Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards of accuracy
* Physically fit and able to lift and move heavy loads
* A keen willingness to work flexible hours and overtime as required
* A valid forklift licence (desirable but not essential)
* Clean Driving Licence
* Ideally live within a 40-minute commute radius of Maldon, Essex.
Hours: 45hrs per week, with additional overtime outside normal hours including Saturdays and Sundays due to customer requirements. Salary: Up to £13.50 per hour depending on experience. Free Parking on Site, 5% Employer Pension Contribution.
