Hours of work: 23.25 hours per week, Monday, 08:45am - 12:10pm, Tuesday to Friday, 8:45 am to 2:15 pm (with 30 minutes unpaid lunch break)
Working pattern: Part-time, term-time only (working for 39 weeks per year plus 6.05 weeks annual leave, which will increase after 5 years' continuous service)

Etchingham CE Primary School is seeking to appoint a caring, patient and motivated Individual Needs Assistant to support a Year 5 pupil with an Education, Health and Care Plan. The successful candidate will work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to provide targeted support in Maths and English, while also helping to develop the pupil's life skills, including nurture, emotional literacy and self-regulation.
Key responsibilities:
* Provide one-to-one and small-group support for a Year 5 pupil in Maths and English
* Support the pupil's social, emotional, and behavioural development using nurture-based approaches
* Promote emotional literacy, positive relationships, and independence
* Implement strategies outlined in the pupil's EHCP
* Work collaboratively with teaching staff, SENCo, and external professionals
* Foster a safe, inclusive, and supportive learning environment
The successful candidate should be someone who:
* Has experience of working with children with additional needs, particularly those with EHCPs
* Has experience or training in Thrive and/or Nurture provision
* Demonstrates a strong understanding of emotional regulation and pastoral support
* Is patient, empathetic and resilient
* Has good communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships
* Is committed to supporting the Christian ethos of the school
