Overview We are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Bartender to join our vibrant team. As a Bartender, you will play a crucial role in providing exceptional service to our guests while crafting delicious beverages and maintaining a welcoming atmosphere. The ideal candidate will have a passion for hospitality, strong bartending skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
The Ideal Candidate
You will have experience, although it’s not essential, as training will be given for you will be the face of the business, interacting with customers and ensuring their visit is one to remember for all the right reasons. You will be able to work on your own under your own initiative and as part of a team. Additionally, you will be assisting the Managers by overseeing the bar ensuring it looks the best it can be, managing stock to ensure yield targets are met. You will strive to exceed our customers’ expectations and deliver a truly exceptional experience; we strive to make their Everyday EXTRAORDINARY. Additionally, you will want to progress within the company and help new recruits to deliver excellence and strive to run your own venue one day. You must be available to work weekends & evenings. You must have a good command of the English language.
Key Responsibilities
A willingness to learn.
Manage the opening and closing of the bar as required
Working alongside the managers & other staff
Ensure all food and drinks are correctly and promptly delivered to the customer
Ensure the customer is happy with their order
Ensure bathrooms are kept to a high standard.
Ability to change barrels and gas, handle casks and clean lines
Adhere to company policies and procedures and licensing laws
Be involved with and contribute to at all team meetings
Moving Up
In addition to the above, you will want to take on the following responsibilities:
Assist with ensuring stock counts are accurate and completed on time
Assist with maintaining accurate ordering and stocking levels
Assist with cellar management and maintenance
Assist with training of junior staff including standards of service and dealing with complaints
Responsibilities
* Prepare and serve a variety of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to standard recipes and customer preferences.
* Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the bar area, ensuring all equipment is in good working order.
* Engage with guests, providing recommendations and ensuring their needs are met promptly.
* Monitor inventory levels of drinks and supplies, assisting with ordering as necessary.
* Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely food preparation and service.
* Adhere to food safety regulations and responsible serving practices at all times.
* Supervise junior staff members, providing guidance and support as needed.
* Handle cash transactions accurately and maintain records of sales.
Qualifications
* Proven experience in bartending or a similar role within the hospitality industry.
* Strong knowledge of food safety standards and best practices in food preparation.
* Excellent communication skills with a friendly, approachable demeanour.
* Ability to work well under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
* Experience in supervising or managing team members is advantageous.
* A background in culinary arts or restaurant operations is beneficial but not essential.
* Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and public holidays as required.
