Our client is a leading global supplier of slim floor structures, wind energy applications and connection technology for precast and in-situ construction.
They are seeking a dynamic and results-oriented Sales Engineer & Partnership Development Specialist to join our team in the UK.
This hybrid role will combine technical sales expertise with strategic partnership development, focusing on expanding our market presence within the rapidly growing Modern Methods of Construction (MMC) sector and strengthening relationships with key structural engineering firms. The ideal candidate will possess a strong technical background, excellent communication skills, and a proven ability to build and leverage relationships with industry stakeholders to promote and sell their connection designs and structural solutions within an assigned geographic area to meet sales targets and contribute to their UK growth.
* Location: London and ability to work from home
* Employment Type: Permanent
* Package: £50-55K per annum + Electric Car, Pension and Life Insurance
* Office Headquarters: Based in Newton Aycliffe but you will not be required to travel there.
Criteria:
* Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field.
* Proven experience in technical sales and/or business development within the construction industry, preferably with a focus on structural solutions.
* Strong understanding of MMC principles and practices and their implications for the client
* Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills, with the ability to effectively represent the client
* Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with clients, partners, and structural engineering firms, fostering long-term collaboration
* Strong technical aptitude and problem-solving skills, with the ability to apply the client connection designs and structural solutions to diverse project requirements.
* Ability to manage and prioritize own day-to-day work to maximize efficiency
* Ability to work independently and collaboratively
* Valid UK driver's license.
* Experience attending industry events.
* Understanding of the marketplace.
Preferred Qualifications:
* Experience working with structural steel or concrete products
* Existing network of contacts within the MMC sector and structural engineering
* Knowledge of CO2 reduction strategies in construction
* Knowledge of structural engineering software packages and their compatibility with the client connection designs and structural solutions.
