BH Live is recruiting for a Customer Operations Manager to join our team at the Mountbatten Centre in Portsmouth. Our Customer Operations Managers ensure everyone visiting our centre has a great customer experience, has fun and is kept safe. You will have day-to-day responsibility for the operations of our centre.
Mountbatten offers a large well-equipped gym, accessible by lift, has multiple zones with something to suit every activity preference and level of fitness. Dedicated training areas have lots of cardio kit to choose from, free weights, functional fitness spaces and more. There is a 50 metre swimming pool (divided into two) with regular public swimming sessions, lane swimming, pool-based classes and lessons. There is also a smaller teaching pool for little ones and lessons. Mountbatten is home to AquaDash – a large pool inflatable course – great fun for young people, team building away days, and parties. Spa facilities include a sauna, spa bath and steam room.

You will:
* Ensure each department has the appropriate level of staffing and be responsible for the coordination of reactive shift cover.
* Be responsible for and coordinate the safe evacuation of members of the public and colleagues in the event of an emergency.
* Open and close the building.
* Carry out visual building inspections of the building and report any issues to our technical team.
* Be responsible for the security of the building whilst on duty and respond to emergency calls when off duty.
You will need:
* Confidence
* Good organisation skills, with good attention to detail.
* Great people skills, be proactive with great communication skills.
* A customer focussed approach.
* Commercial acumen
Previous experience in a similar role is highly desirable.
Hours of work will be aligned with the centre's opening hours and will include evenings, weekends and bank holidays.
