Stafford
Staffordshire County Council
€80,000 - €100,000 a year
Posted: 20 June
Offer description

Business Support is key to the success of our Children’s Services because our Business Support teams are there, making sure things run smoothly, so that our frontline colleagues can deliver for children and families in the community. All that work in the background doesn’t just happen, it takes dedicated colleagues, taking pride in their work and seeing a purpose in the work they are doing.

We have an opportunity for a Business Support Coordinator to support our LADO (Local Authority Designated Officer) service.

The LADO service oversees, monitors and supports the management of allegations made against adults who work in a position of trust with children. Specifically, LADO will support employers/organisations to handle allegations where a child may have been harmed. This involves working in a multidisciplinary way ensuring all relevant information is triangulated.

This is a permanent position.

The hours of work are Monday-Thursday 8.30am-5.00pm and Friday 8.30am-4.30pm.

You will be predominantly office based, although some home working is arranged on a rota basis depending on the demands of the service.

Main Responsibilities

The role will undertake a range of administration duties to support the service. This will include:

* the input and retrieval of data via internal systems
* signposting and resolving enquiries
* the analysis and improvement of data and business processes
* collating and reporting performance data
* maintaining knowledge of legislation, policies, guidance, processes and best practice relating to the service supported.

The Ideal Candidate

We are looking for you to:

* Possess a Business Administration qualification, NVQ Level 3 or equivalent experience
* Be ICT proficient in Microsoft 365
* Have a minimum of 5 GCSE's grade 4/C or above including the specific subjects of English and Maths or equivalent qualifications
* Have experience of working in a complex office environment working with legislation and statutory requirements
* Be able to work on your own initiative with a minimum of supervision

For further information about this role please contact jacquie.clifford@staffordshire.gov.uk

Interviews will take place week commencing 28th April 2025.
