Job Summary
We're looking for a Site Manager to take the lead on daily site operations for one of the UK's most impactful retrofit projects. You will coordinate activities on site, ensure safe systems of work, maintain programme targets, and deliver high-quality results, all while building positive relationships with contractors, residents, and local stakeholders. This is a proactive, site-based role requiring strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage on-site health and safety
* Coordinate daily works across drilling, mechanical, and fit-out teams
* Lead site inductions, toolbox talks, and safety briefings
* Review RAMS, method statements, and construction phase plans
* Monitor programme progress and manage critical path activities
* Act as Temporary Works Co-Ordinator, ensuring temporary works are safe and compliant
* Supervise subcontractors and resolve operational issues efficiently
* Oversee quality assurance processes, inspections, and commissioning documentation
* Operate and monitor permit-to-work systems as needed
* Liaise with the resident liaison team to minimise disruption during internal works
What You Bring
* City & Guilds Level 6 NVQ Diploma in Construction Site Management or equivalent
* Experience delivering retrofit projects in occupied properties, ideally including M&E and groundwork elements
* Strong working knowledge of H&S legislation and best practice
* SMSTS certification (essential)
* Temporary Works Co-Ordinator certification and experience (essential)
* Valid CSCS card
* In-date First Aid at Work certification
* Confident using digital site management and reporting systems
* Excellent organisational and communication skills
* A Disclosure Scotland (DS) check or willingness to obtain one
