Overview
Are you an Assistant Headteacher with Secondary-based experience looking for a new opportunity on an interim basis or contract basis? We are working with a good school in Birmingham to support them in recruiting an Assistant Headteacher to work across the whole of the school, improving attendance and inclusion. Working as part of a team, you will primarily be responsible for building relationships with students, parents, staff and third parties that enable improvement in attendance and impact academic outcomes.
You will be
* QTS Secondary teacher any subject
* Experienced leader in a secondary school setting
* Have exceptional communication skills
* Able to demonstrate a great understanding of inclusion and have a track record of improving attendance across the whole of the school
* Used to working as part of a team responsible for outcomes that start with attendance and impact results in the classroom
* Happy to work with students and their families to create plans to develop attendance, punctuality, participation, and communication
* Looking for an opportunity to impact rewards across the whole of the school linked to attendance
* Working with a team developing culture and changing perceptions of the school with students
* Enabling students to think ahead, linking attendance to progress beyond the school gates
* Ambassador for oracy across the whole of the school
* Minimal amount of teaching
* Leading on whole-of-school attendance
* Mentor and leader
