Job Overview
A specialist SEN secondary school in Leeds (LS8) is looking for a confident and compassionate SEN Teacher to deliver tailored lessons to students aged 11–16 with autism, ADHD, and learning difficulties. You’ll be leading a small, supported class with the help of experienced SEN support staff.
This role is perfect for a qualified teacher with a strong understanding of special educational needs and inclusive classroom practice. Aspiring teachers with experience in SEN support or HLTA roles are also welcome to apply.
Key Responsibilities
Deliver engaging, differentiated lessons suited to individual EHCPs
Maintain positive classroom behaviour using trauma-informed strategies
Collaborate with SENCOs, therapists, and support staff
Track student progress and adjust learning plans accordingly
Who We're Looking For
QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) or equivalent (desirable)
Experience working with SEN or in alternative provisions
Strong behaviour management skills
Passionate about inclusive education and making a real impact
