What will I be doing?
We’re working to improve the lives of care leavers in Somerset – and you’ll be a key part of that. Your day-to-day work will involve:
* supporting care leavers aged 16-25.
* making sure care leavers have access to all their care leaver entitlements.
* providing information, advice and guidance.
* supporting care leavers to access services which will help them achieve their goals and live independently as young adults.
* being part of a specialist team that supports asylum seeking young people and refugees alongside care leavers from Somerset.
What kind of experience or qualifications do I need?
We offer ongoing support, training and guidance to help you be the best you can be. You will need:
* experience of direct working with young people which would preferably include care leavers.
* knowledge of child and adolescent development and needs of young people who are care experienced.
* excellent recording skills and good organisational and time management skills.
* an innovative and creative approach to engaging young people, some of whom may be resistant to intervention.

Salary and Appointment
The salary range for this role is £28,598 to £32,061 per annum for 37 hours per week.
Appointments are normally made at the bottom of the salary scale.
