We are looking for a Ward Clerk to join the Children's Ward Clerk team at Colchester Hospital on a part-time basis. The role involves working with experienced ward clerks in the Children's Outpatient Department.
Our ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills and a friendly manner, as you will be interacting with a wide variety of people. You should be hardworking, highly motivated, and able to work on your own initiative.
This is a part-time role, 22.5 hours per week, on a fixed-term/secondment basis until 31st December 2025, with the possibility of extension to March 2026.

The role involves providing high-level, comprehensive, and efficient secretarial and administrative support. You will utilize hospital systems such as Big Hand, PAS, Evolve, Lorenzo, and any new systems introduced, including demand/capacity tools.
You will support the smooth organization of the department and provide advanced secretarial/administration services to the medical teams. The role requires managing, prioritizing, planning, and organizing your own time using your knowledge, skills, and experience.
