Job Details
* Band 3 — Salary £24,937 to £26,598 a year Pro rata, per annum
* Contract: Permanent

Main duties and recruitment process
Job responsibilities and recruitment process are described as:
* The recruitment process consists of 3 stages. Candidates successful at each stage will progress to the next stage.
* Application: online application form, answering questions explaining clearly how you meet the essential and desirable criteria for the role. Use the additional information section to provide information on all relevant experience.
* Assessment session: online assessment gauging listening, understanding, critical thinking and problem-solving skills. Requires webcam and laptop/PC; you will need to use a keyboard.
* Interview: online interview with a 111 Health Advisor Call Handler from the ambulance service, discussing your skills and experience and providing an opportunity to learn more about the role.
Essential qualifications and training
* Good all-round education (e.g., 2 GCSEs at grade 4 or above including English), or equivalent demonstrable experience
* For safeguarding reasons this role is open to people aged over 18
Desirable
* NHS Pathways Trained
* NVQ 2/3 Customer Services or equivalent
Knowledge and experience
* Experience in a customer/patient services environment
* Experience using computerised systems
* Experience using a telephone as a regular means of communication in a work environment
Desirable experience
* Experience in a call centre environment
* Geographical knowledge of the operational area
* Experience of rotating shifts
* Experience in voluntary or health sector
* Knowledge of first aid and/or anatomy
