What skills and experience we're looking for
We are looking to appoint a hard working and dedicated cleaner to join the small team of cleaning staff who manage the cleanliness needs of our friendly nursery school and day care.This position is fixed term (6 months).
You will work as part of the team, undertaking various cleaning duties throughout the school to ensure our children’s learning environment and staff work place is always clean.
Successful candidates will have:
Essential:
• Experience in cleaning duties and knowledge of best practices in cleaning
• Ability to work under own initiative with limited supervision
• Awareness of the importance of providing a quality service and satisfying the cleaning requirements of the school
• Awareness of the importance of hygiene in the work place
• Ability to work on your own and to work as part of a team
• Reliable
Desirable:
• Level 2 cleaning qualification
• Understanding of Keeping Children Safe in Education and their responsibilities for Safeguarding
• Understanding of Health and Safety regulations as they relate to the operation of cleaning equipment and materials
• Awareness of Control of Substances Hazardous to Health (COSHH)
• Understanding of the School’s ethos and values
• Understanding of school policies and willingness and ability to work within these
• A ‘Can do attitude’
