We have an exciting opportunity for an ISMS Senior Primary Care Nurse to join our Pharmacy team at HMP Hewell, a category B Prison located in Redditch.
In this role, you'll be working with a multi-disciplinary team that will support you and help you succeed.
Hours
30 hours, 3 days per week - 07:00am to 17:00pm
Salary
This position is full-time, with an annual salary between £42,094 - £47,466 depending on experience.

Main duties of the job
* Work as part of a multi-disciplinary team, prioritising patient care to develop individualised packages of care through comprehensive assessment and recovery planning.
* Deliver a range of treatment options including clinical and psychosocial interventions in both group and 1-1 settings.
* Carry out comprehensive assessments, initiate and review recovery plans, and confidently communicate the full range of treatment options available to service users.
* Monitor therapeutic responses to medication and potential side effects, liaising with prescribers.
* Support group work delivery and liaise with prescribers and Recovery Practitioners on clinical interventions.
* Have an understanding and commitment to recovery and a person-centred approach.

Qualifications Required
* NMC Registered Nurse
* RCGP 1 in Substance Misuse or willingness to undertake
* Experience working with opiate-dependent patients
* Sound clinical knowledge of substance misuse
Experience in hospital, community, or prison environments is desirable but not essential.
