Join to apply for the Clinical Support Worker role at Sherwood Forest Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust
Sherwood Forest Hospitals are currently recruiting passionate and dedicated Clinical Support Workers to join our friendly teams across a wide range of wards and departments. Whether you’re drawn to fast‑paced, hands‑on environments or prefer to provide ongoing, person‑centred care, there’s a place for you to grow and make a real difference.
Clinical Support Workers assist with a wide range of clinical and non‑clinical duties—from helping patients with personal care and mobility, to performing basic observations and supporting ward administration. This is a fantastic opportunity to gain hands‑on experience in a healthcare setting, develop your skills, and contribute to continuous improvement in patient services.
As part of the recruitment journey, shortlisted candidates will be invited to attend our Recruitment Open Day held at King’s Mill Hospital—a fantastic chance to meet the team and explore the environment you could soon be part of. The open days will be held on Monday 26th January and Friday 27th February 2026.
If shortlisted, we will require ID documents, proof of right to work in the UK and your qualifications. Please note, this role is NOT eligible for visa sponsorship. If you are unable to provide valid right to work documentation, your interview will not proceed.
To understand the role in more detail, please refer to the attached job description and person specification.
We are an award‑winning NHS Foundation Trust working alongside health and social care colleagues across the county to provide acute and community healthcare services to more than 420,000 people across Mansfield, Ashfield, Newark and Sherwood, and parts of Derbyshire and Lincolnshire.
We put the patient at the heart of everything that we do and it is our aim to make sure that every patient is treated as we would want a member of our own family to be tested. At the same time, we expect our staff to be caring, kind and courteous to each other and to look out for each other. We believe that we are truly a clinically‑led organisation.
We are proud that our Trust colleagues have voted us the best acute Trust to work for in the East Midlands for seven years running in the National NHS Staff Survey, while the Care Quality Commission has rated our Trust as ‘outstanding’ for care and our King’s Mill Hospital as the only ‘outstanding’ NHS‑run hospital in the East Midlands.
