Business Development Executive (Retail & Foodservice) Location: North West London (Field / Remote & Office Based) Salary: £30,000 – £35,000 base Competitive Uncapped Bonus Job Type: Full-time, Permanent A growing, family-owned food manufacturer with over 40 years of heritage in authentic Indian meals, snacks and sauces is seeking a driven Business Development Executive to support its expansion across London and other major UK cities. Our products are proudly enjoyed in households, independent retailers and foodservice kitchens nationwide, and we’re now looking for someone who can take ownership of regional sales growth, build strong customer relationships and play a key role in shaping our next phase of expansion. This role blends on-the-ground relationship building with structured sales planning and reporting. Key Responsibilities Strategy & Growth * Drive new business across independent retail, convenience, foodservice and wholesale channels * Expand distribution from London into other major UK cities * Build a strong pipeline through cold calling, visits, referrals and networking * Negotiate commercial agreements and secure long-term partnerships * Represent the brand at trade shows, sampling events and community activities Customer Relationships * Build trusted relationships with retailers, distributors and buyers * Pitch products in person and present product samples * Tailor solutions to meet customer needs * Maintain regular customer contact to maximise repeat business Processes & Systems * Develop and manage your own territory plan * Work closely with senior management on product focus and marketing activity * Maintain accurate CRM records Revenue & Performance * Meet monthly and quarterly sales targets * Track and report key KPIs including conversion, ROI and retention What You’ll Bring * Experience in field sales, territory management or business development, ideally within FMCG or food manufacturing * Proven ability to generate leads, manage pipelines and close independently * Understanding of independent retail and/or ethnic food markets (advantageous) * Excellent communication, presentation and negotiation skills * Self-motivated, entrepreneurial mindset If you’re ready to grow your career with a business expanding from London to the rest of the UK, and want to make your mark, we’d love to hear from you
