Role Purpose
The HRIS Manager will lead the design, configuration, maintenance, and optimisation of the organisation’s HR technology landscape, with a primary focus on Workday. Acting as the subject matter expert, the role ensures HR systems are aligned to business needs, support efficient processes, and provide high-quality data and insights to inform decision-making.
Key Responsibilities
* Act as the Workday system owner, ensuring stability, security, compliance, and optimisation of modules.
* Maintain system governance, including change control, release management, and stakeholder sign-off.
* Lead Workday configuration across Core HCM and relevant modules (Recruitment, Talent, Absence, Payroll, etc.).
* Manage system upgrades, testing, integrations, and resolution of issues.
* Develop dashboards and advanced reports in Workday to support business needs.
* Partner with HR, Finance, and business leaders to ensure accurate, timely workforce data.
* Drive automation and efficiency within HR processes through effective system use.
* Benchmark and adopt best practice for Workday system utilisation.
* Collaborate with HR, Finance, IT, and business leaders to understand requirements and deliver solutions.
* Develop and deliver training to HR and business users, driving adoption and capability.
* Manage and develop HRIS Analysts/System Admins, fostering high performance and growth.
* Ensure strong service delivery and responsive support for users.
Key Skills & Experience
* Proven experience in managing HRIS, with strong hands-on Workday expertise.
* Deep knowledge of HR processes and how they translate into systems.
* Strong analytical and reporting skills within Workday (calculated fields, dashboards, etc.).
* Experience of managing system upgrades, integrations, and security roles.
* Excellent project management skills with ability to prioritise and deliver to deadlines.
* Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
* Desirable
o Exposure to other HR/People systems (ATS, LMS, payroll platforms).
o Previous experience in a complex organisation.
