THE ROLE
* Carry out the disassembly, inspection, repair, and reassembly of rotating equipment, with a primary focus on pumps
* Diagnose faults and identify root causes of equipment issues to support effective repairs
* Work to agreed deadlines while maintaining high standards of workmanship
* Ensure all tasks are completed in line with company procedures and relevant industry standards
* Assist in compiling detailed service and inspection reports for customers
* Collaborate with internal teams to resolve technical issues and improve processes
* Contribute to a busy service department handling a wide range of equipment from a global customer base
* Participate in team-based and cross-functional activities as required
THE PERSON
* Time-served fitter or engineer with relevant industry experience
* Proven background in the servicing, assembly, and repair of pumps and rotating equipment
* Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills
* Comfortable working in a fast-paced, varied environment
* Flexible approach to work, with willingness to support overtime when needed
* Reliable, honest, and committed to delivering high-quality work
* Team player with good communication skills and a proactive attitude
