Job Purpose
Working within a fast-paced environment the job holder will work with Quality Manager providing support to the Quality department on day-to-day tasks. Working with the Quality Manager, the job holder will actively investigate and resolve customer quality queries, facilitate the success of continuous improvement teams, as well as identify any trends in quality issues before they become a problem.
Job Responsibilities/Key accountabilities:
1. Creating and updating various reports as requested by Quality Manager
2. Managing the Internal and External OFI
3. Review findings from Customer audits and update Procedures as required
4. Lead and host BSI and Customer (Third party customer audits) deputise as required by Quality Manager
5. Working with the Management Team and Operations Teams to setup continuous improvement actions
6. Develop and train staff in Q-Pulse completion and Management for all modules – as agreed with Quality Manager
7. Progress chasing – CAPA’s, OFI’s
8. Management of the internal audit system
9. Measure effectiveness of Quality Improvement Action Plans – Analysis of Data
10. Provide support and manage as appropriate Calibration system
11. Manage the Supplier complaint system in Q-Pulse, provide metrics as required
12. Investigation of customer queries
13. Decisions on quality in absence of Quality Manager
14. Lead Customer on site meetings with Customer as required by Quality Manager
15. Ensure audit actions are completed and documented
16. Actively attend Site Quality Meetings – produce minutes
17. Facilitate Continuous Improvement Teams – Including 8D and ERR
18. Manage the internal CAPA system
19. Provide data to Business Managers and Leadership team on the Quality system on an ad hoc basis as required by the Business and as requested by QM
20. Manage and log annual leave and hours worked for QC team as requested by QM
21. Lead Quality Department, through active management and provide reporting on efficiencies of the Quality team – deputise as appropriate to QM
22. Develop Leadership style through support and Mentoring of Quality Manager
Quality System
23. All functions to be carried out in accordance with ISO 9001:2015 quality management standard requirements with reference to the sites Quality Policy, Policy Manual & relevant Works Instructions.
24. Work with Quality Manager to ensure that all aspects of PS9000 are integrated into the Quality system.
Knowledge, Skills, Experience
25. Minimum 3 years’ experience in a Quality role at a senior, supervisor or entry management level
26. Working knowledge of relevant accredited standards
27. Experience in a manufacturing/production environment ideally with experience and knowledge of Industry standards and guidelines
28. Demonstrable experience of change management
29. Supervisory experience
30. Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP)
31. Root cause analysis and problem-solving techniques
32. Customer relations skills
33. Skilled in information handling, analysis, and presentation
34. Competent in using Microsoft Office packages
