Job summary

We are seeking a dedicated Senior Practitioner to join Gainsborough Urgent Treatment Centre, providing face-to-face consultations.

The ideal candidate will possess minor illness and injury skills to complement our team of Senior and Urgent Care Practitioners, ACPS, and HCSWs.

Main duties include:

1. Delivering a 12-hour, 7-day service to the Gainsborough community, including assessment, treatment, and management of minor injuries and illnesses.
2. See, treat, manage, discharge, or refer patients of all ages to other services within Lincolnshire Community Health Services or partner organizations.
3. Supporting other urgent care services such as UTCs, home visits, and the Clinical Assessment Service, which operate 24/7, with remote or in-person GP support and established referral pathways.

Job description

The successful candidate will assess patients of all ages with injury or illness, providing treatment or referrals as needed, either face-to-face or via telephone, with thorough documentation.

They will lead, support, and motivate colleagues, maintaining morale in challenging situations, and serve as clinical lead during shifts, exemplifying professional behaviours as per LCHS standards.
