On behalf of our globally respected client who develop cutting-edge technologies that deliver clean, safe and competitive solutions to meet the planet's vital power needs we are looking for a Manufacturing Data Analyst (Python / Power BI) for a 12 Months contract based in Bristol (Hybrid).
Job description - the role
Purpose of the role:
As Manufacturing Data Analyst you will support the rollout of a Digital Manufacturing strategy. This role will play an important part in enabling Manufacturing Intelligence across the full lifecycle: Development, Production, Repair, and Overhaul within the Manufacturing, Assembly & Test organisation.
What you'll do:
* Implement Manufacturing Intelligence and visualisation solutions.
* Develop and maintain coding solutions using Python, C#, VBA, SAP GUI scripting, JavaScript.
* Build dashboards and reporting solutions with Power BI and Cognos.
* Conduct ad-hoc data analysis to support decision-making.
* Work with IIoT platforms and digital manufacturing systems.
* Develop and test digital manufacturing systems, ensuring risks are mitigated.
The skills you'll need:
* Proven experience as a Data Analyst or similar role within manufacturing, engineering, or defence.
* Strong coding skills in Python (plus C#, VBA, SAP scripting, or JavaScript advantageous).
* Expertise with Power BI and/or Cognos for data visualisation and reporting.
* Understanding of IIoT platforms and manufacturing data systems.
* Ability to translate complex requirements into practical, data-driven solutions.
* Experience in defence, aerospace, or similarly regulated industries is highly desirable.
* SC clearance preferred (or eligibility to obtain).
