Job Overview
Here at Bury College, we are welcoming applications for a Lecturer in Business & Management on a full-time basis.
Are you passionate about teaching and learning, keen to share your experience, skills, and knowledge with others? Can you be a positive and inspirational role model for learners? If so, this could be the perfect role for you!
Joining us as a Lecturer in Business & Management, you will deliver excellent and inclusive teaching and learning in the classroom to inspire learners to succeed and progress. You will incorporate appropriate and inspirational curriculum resources, including ILT, into lessons and plan delivery to support achievement through schemes of work and lesson plans.
You will undertake ongoing high-quality formative and summative assessments of learners’ work, both in class and through regular out-of-class activities, to monitor progress. You must aim to ensure learner success through progress reviews and respond to new curriculum developments by planning relevant resources.
A degree or equivalent in a Business or Management-related subject is essential, along with experience in successful teaching on Business & Management courses (or teaching practice for NT’s). You should hold a full teaching qualification or professional recognition in learning and skills, or be working towards this.
In addition to delivering Vocational Business & Management courses, there may be opportunities to teach A Level Business, Economics, & Accounts courses, subject to your qualifications and experience.
The role requires an individual capable of delivering exceptional teaching and learning, inspiring, motivating, and engaging learners. You should be able to produce effective schemes of work and lesson plans, demonstrating inclusive and challenging teaching strategies and supporting students to attend by meeting their individual needs.
If you are interested in teaching Business & Management but do not currently have a full teaching qualification, we also offer a Trainee Lecturer in Business & Management position. Please apply using the same process and indicate on your application that it is for the Trainee Post.
