Overview
Showsec’s Communications & Marketing team is expanding, and we’re looking for a talented Bid Writer / Content Writer to join us at our Leicester Head Office. The Bid Writer / Content Writer is responsible for producing high-quality written content to support the organisation’s commercial and communications objectives. The primary purpose is to develop accurate, persuasive, and compliant responses to tenders, proposals, and pre-qualification questionnaires, ensuring the business remains competitive and well-positioned to secure new opportunities. In addition, the role will provide copywriting and documentation support across the organisation, producing content for the company website, newsletters, and other marketing channels, as well as developing and maintaining internal documentation such as policies, procedures, manuals, and best-practice guides. This ensures consistency, clarity, and accessibility of information for both internal and external audiences. The postholder will report to the Marketing and Communications Manager, with a dotted line to the Head of Commercial, Communications and Logistics in relation to tenders and bids. The role requires a strong background in bid writing, excellent written communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with stakeholders across the organisation to achieve high-quality outcomes.
Responsibilities
* Produce high-quality written content to support commercial and communications objectives, including responses to tenders, proposals, and pre-qualification questionnaires.
* Develop accurate, persuasive, and compliant bid content to help secure new opportunities.
* Provide copywriting and documentation support across the organisation (website, newsletters, marketing channels).
* Develop and maintain internal documentation such as policies, procedures, manuals, and best-practice guides.
* Ensure consistency, clarity, and accessibility of information for internal and external audiences.
* Collaborate with stakeholders across the organisation to achieve high-quality outcomes.
* Coordinate with line managers on bid strategies and timelines.
