We currently have a vacancy for a PFI General Manager to join our Asset Operations team at Kajima Partnerships Ltd.
The role would suit an astute, people-focused candidate with genuine enjoyment of team working and problem solving in complex environments. Our Asset Managers sit on the SPV board as statutory directors. They should have an excellent eye for detail and report writing skills, be confident and capable with sharing and presenting information. The role will be home based with some travel required to the asset sites. The job holder will ideally live in the Nottingham/Leicester/Peterborough Area.
Main responsibilities include:
1. Ensure Kajima Partnerships Limited meets its obligations under its Management Services Agreement with the Project Company, reporting any non-compliance to the Head of PPP Asset Management.
2. Ensure delivery and compliance with all obligations of the Project Agreement, Project finance documents, and associated contracts on behalf of the Project Company.
3. Maintain a comprehensive understanding of the Project Agreement, Schedules, and associated Service Provider sub-contracts.
4. Coordinate effectively with the Board and Funders as required by the Project Agreement and Finance Documents.
5. Work with the Company Secretary to ensure proper management and recording of Board meetings and proceedings.
6. Manage the commercial and financial aspects of projects.
7. Oversee operational management and service performance of projects.
8. Fulfill commercial responsibilities and serve as a board Director for the Project Co.
The successful candidate will demonstrate:
* Experience working with complex Project Agreements in PFI or similar projects.
* Understanding of the funding and contractual structure of PFI projects.
* Ability to manage relationships with stakeholders such as Project Company Boards, funders/lenders, sub-contractors, and public sector bodies.
* Experience in managing performance regimes for FM services.
* Proficiency in working with detailed legal and contractual documents ensuring compliance.
* Ability to provide advice on risk management and interpret complex information for risk assessment.
* Experience in dispute management to minimize project risk.
* Knowledge of value-for-money principles in PFI lifecycle expenditure.
* Ability to identify key information and report effectively.
* Leadership and team management skills, including in multi-agency environments.
* Experience in business development and stakeholder relationship building.
* Commitment to continuous professional development and legislative updates.
