Salary/Benefits: Salary is between £29,870 and £39,696 per annum DOE and Qualifications plus a salary uplift of up to £10,000 for the right candidate, 27 days annual leave plus Bank holidays, People’s pension, Retail and Leisure Discounts, excellent professional and personal development opportunities, accessing college courses.
Hours/Weeks: 37 hours per week – 52 weeks per year

About The Role
We are currently seeking two Training Coordinators in Engineering to join our Engineering department at The Bedford College Group.
As a Training Coordinator, you play an important role in the success of our students through:
* Programme Delivery & Assessment – Designs and delivers engaging aviation apprenticeship content using diverse instructional techniques, assessing knowledge, skills, and behaviours to support learner success and EPA readiness.
* Workshop & Technical Training – Leads practical training in aerospace engineering disciplines including hand fitting, sheet metal work, and mechanical fasteners, while promoting health and safety and industry standards.
* Curriculum & Quality Assurance – Develops lesson plans and schemes of work, contributes to SAR and audits, and supports internal quality processes to maintain high programme standards.
* Learner Support & Engagement – Conducts progress reviews, supports induction and skills scans, and fosters learner participation through mentoring, RAG rating contributions, and involvement in team activities.
* Compliance & Professional Development – Upholds safeguarding, EDI, and health and safety policies, engages in CPD, and maintains industry knowledge to ensure relevant and professional delivery across all locations.
About You
* Qualifications & Industry Experience – Holds assessor awards (D32/33, A1/A2, TAQA, or Level 3 Award), completed a time-served aviation apprenticeship or equivalent, with relevant aerospace industry experience in MRO environments.
* Technical Expertise – Demonstrates in-depth knowledge of aircraft maintenance, structural competencies, and fundamental engineering skills including hand fitting, fasteners, and sheet metal work.
* Professional Skills – Strong communication, organisation, and problem-solving abilities, with capacity to manage multiple tasks, meet deadlines, and produce accurate documentation and reports.
* Learner Support & Teamwork – Passionate about developing others, contributes to a supportive learning environment, and works collaboratively with staff and students while maintaining professional boundaries.
* Values & Compliance – Aligns with organisational values, promotes safeguarding and EDI, and maintains flexibility and commitment to continuous learning and professional development.
