Food Technology Teacher (Secondary School)

Key Responsibilities:
1. Plan and deliver engaging Food Technology lessons that cover a range of topics, including cooking techniques, nutrition, and food safety, across Key Stages 3 and 4.
2. Create a dynamic and inclusive classroom environment that encourages practical learning and creativity.
3. Utilise a variety of teaching methods and resources to cater to different learning styles and abilities.
4. Assess student progress through practical assessments and written evaluations, providing constructive feedback to support their development.
5. Collaborate with colleagues to develop and enhance the Food Technology curriculum and participate in cross-curricular initiatives.
6. Organise and participate in extracurricular activities, such as cooking clubs, competitions, and food-related events, to enrich students' learning experiences.
Requirements:
7. Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a relevant degree or qualification in Food Technology, Culinary Arts, or a related field.
8. Experience teaching Food Technology at the secondary school level.
9. Strong knowledge of food science, nutrition, and culinary skills.
10. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
11. Passionate about creating a positive and inclusive learning environment.
