Overview
We are seeking a skilled Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical knowledge and experience in various repair and maintenance tasks. This role requires proficiency in handling hand tools, power tools, and equipment repair, as well as the ability to work with heavy machinery such as excavators and forklifts. A commitment to providing excellent customer service is essential, as you will be interacting with clients to ensure their needs are met effectively.
Duties
* Perform routine maintenance and repairs on a variety of machinery and equipment.
* Conduct diagnostics to identify issues and implement effective solutions.
* Fabricate components as needed using welding and soldering techniques.
* Read and interpret schematics for electrical systems and mechanical assemblies.
* Operate hand tools and power tools safely and efficiently.
* Assist in the assembly of new equipment or machinery.
* Provide exceptional customer service by addressing client inquiries and concerns promptly.
* Perform heavy lifting as required during maintenance tasks or equipment repairs.
* Maintain a clean and organised work environment.
Experience
* Proven experience in mechanical repair, maintenance, or a related field is essential.
* Familiarity with fabrication, welding, soldering, and working with schematics is highly desirable.
* Previous experience operating excavators, forklifts, or similar heavy machinery is advantageous.
* Strong electrical experience will be considered an asset.
* Ability to work independently as well as part of a team while demonstrating excellent problem-solving skills.
