We’re working with an incredible special school in Newton Abbot, a purpose-built, community-rooted academy that supports pupils aged 7 to 16 with a diagnosis of Autism, Speech, Language and Communication Needs (SLCN) or related social and emotional challenges. They’re currently seeking flexible and committed Supply Teaching Assistants to join their team of passionate professionals who are reshaping education, one learner at a time.

What We’re Looking For

* Empathetic, calm and naturally nurturing
* Flexible and able to adapt quickly to changing needs
* Previous experience working with children is essential. Experience in working with children or young people with Autism, anxiety or communication needs is advantageous
* Strong communicators who can support both pupils and teaching staff effectively
* Happy to assist in both academic and therapeutic/creative learning sessions
Whether you’re a seasoned SEN TA or someone with transferable skills (youth work, care, creative education etc), if you bring the right attitude and passion, you’ll be a welcome addition to this extraordinary team.
