Job Description
You’ll be turning big ideas into real improvements for our communities, playing a key role in bringing projects to life—from revitalising town centres and unlocking new housing to creating places residents are proud to call home.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead on projects that support the Council's vision for a thriving, sustainable borough, with a focus on improving town centre vitality.
* Develop detailed project plans and manage budgets, seeking external funding opportunities and removing barriers to delivery.
* Work on major sites and regeneration schemes, exploring innovative ways to turn planning ambitions into action.
* Draft design guidelines, engagement strategies and support housing and infrastructure delivery.
* Build strong relationships across the Council and with external partners, including developers and local communities, to advance progress.
* Engage residents, councillors and stakeholders, fostering collaboration and driving consensus.
Qualifications & Experience
* Experience in planning, regeneration or urban design, with solid project management skills for larger or complex schemes.
* Hands‑on experience in community engagement, particularly in housing or placeshaping projects, and ability to translate feedback into tangible outcomes.
* Degree level education in a relevant field (or equivalent experience).
* Strong IT, report‑writing and presentation skills.
* Proactive, people‑focused, with a can‑do attitude and genuine passion for making a difference.
