We are pleased to invite applications to join the Training Team at National Imaging Academy Wales (NIAW). NIAW is looking for a keen Sonographer Trainer to support the delivery of high‑quality radiology and radiographic training. The role supports the NIAW 3‑year strategy, delivering clinical ultrasound training, supervision, competency assessments and simulation support across Wales.
Responsibilities
* Deliver clinical ultrasound training and supervision to a multidisciplinary team.
* Undertake competency assessments and support simulation training.
* Assist with the development and delivery of training courses for the radiology workforce.
* Provide professional teaching, research and continuing professional development.
Qualifications & Requirements
* Qualified and registered Radiographer or Sonographer with postgraduate training in ultrasound.
* Expert competence, autonomy and up‑to‑date knowledge of ultrasound technology, anatomy and clinical practice.
* Strong commitment to teaching, supervision, research and professional development.
* Excellent communication, organisational and IT skills with adherence to professional standards and governance.
* Commitment to safe working practices and accurate record keeping.
