As Violence & Aggression Case Manager, you will:
· Work closely with the V&A Manager to deliver a professional, innovative V&A and Security function for the Trust.
· Support development, implementation & evaluation of Trust‑wide strategies, policies and services aimed at preventing and managing violence and aggression, including case management, CCTV, lone working, and emergency/major incident responses.
· Provide expert advice to managers and staff on all V&A matters, ensuring legislative compliance, identifying root causes, and supporting internal sanctions such as injunctions, warning markers and unacceptable behaviour orders.
· Contribute to the development of a victim support service, offering guidance from the point of incident through to case resolution.
· Work collaboratively with external partners including Welsh police forces, Courts and the Crown Prosecution Service, ensuring victims receive timely updates and outcomes.
· Make informed professional judgements on complex violence and aggression cases, analysing information and determining appropriate outcomes.
· Lead on the review and development of the Datix incident reporting process, including incident review, trend analysis, documentation quality, escalation of urgent issues, and identification of organisational learning.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will be responsible for the operational delivery of a robust management system specialising in addressing and reducing Violence and Aggression
The post holder will be required to deliver effective and sustainable support to any staff member of the Welsh Ambulance Services NHS Trust (WAST) affected by Violence and Aggression and/ or security incidents.
The post holder will assist with the development of a comprehensive strategy and policy framework for all areas within the Trust to ensure the safety of patients, staff and visitors.

Qualifications and Knowledge
Essential criteria
* Educated to degree level in a professionally related subject.
* Specialist knowledge of violence & aggression/case management to post-graduate diploma level; or can demonstrate equivalent level of practical experience managing incidents of violence & aggression.
* Level 3 qualification in Violence Prevention & Reduction and Public Health (Strategic Specialists)
* Evidence of continuing professional development
Desirable criteria
* Member of health and safety / violence & aggression / security professional body i.e. IOSH, IIRSM, SIA etc.
Experience
Essential criteria
* Managing incidents/cases of violence & aggression and security management
* Development and delivery of training programmes
* Undertaking audits and inspections programmes
* Investigating significant incidents
* Supporting complex violence and aggression risk assessments
* Reviewing and developing policies and procedures
Desirable criteria
* Experience of working in the NHS
