Job summary
As a First Contact Physiotherapist you will work on-site in the GP practice as part of a dynamic multidisciplinary team. You will assess, diagnose and manage MSK patients at the first point of contact - with full autonomy and clinical support.
This is not a hybrid or remote position. You will be embedded in the practice working closely with the GP's, receptionists, nurses, pharmacists and other MDT colleagues to deliver integrated, personalised patient care.
You will have the opportunity to use or develop advanced skills, including injection therapy supported by structured supervision.

Main duties of the job
Independently assess diagnose and manage MSK patients including complex cases
* Request investigations e.g. imaging, blood tests and make appropriate referrals
* develop tailored self-management plans to support behavioural change and recovery
* Utilise full scope of practice, including prescribing and injection therapy (if qualified)
Collaboration and Development
Work within a GP based MDT, fostering strong leaderships with practice staff
Educate colleagues on MSK triage pathways and provide informal guidance
support clinical audits and service improvement initiaives

Churchfields Medical Practice is a forward thinking, team orientated practice serving around 9000patients. We have a great work ethic; caring for our patients, our communityand our dynamic team around us is paramount to all that we do. We are currentlylooking to add to our multi-disciplinary clinical team, which is made up of 2GP Partners, 5 salaried GP's, 1 Nurse Manager, a Practice Nurse, 2 Healthcare Assistants and pharmacist. We also have a wide range of ARRS staff working with us including, Dietitian, First Contact Physios, Social Prescriber and a Mental Health Practitioner Nurse, and pharmacist. Whilst we are a busy practice,we can offer a friendly and supportive atmosphere, with family friendlypolicies to promote a good work-life balance, annual leave entitlement of 5weeks (pro rata). Free on-site parking, which is part of Nottingham city.
We are atraining practice welcoming GP Registrars F2 Foundation Drs, and medical students from year 1 & 2 years. We are alsoa research accredited practice and encourage our clinicians and patients to getinvolved. Our clinical team are supported by our excellent, friendly, proactiveand efficient admin & reception team.
We are also an Armed Forces veteran friendly accredited practice.
We are activewith our local PCN and are forwarding thinking in terms of developing newinitiatives to offer enhanced services to our patients.
We wouldwelcome informal visits or a telephone call by prior arrangement.

Person Specification
Qualifications
Essential
* HCPC and CSP registered Physiotherapist
Desirable
* Completion of some level 7 MSc learning
* Qualified injection therapist and /or independent prescriber
Experience
Essential
* Minimum 5 years post-graduate clinical experience
* Minimum 3 years MS|K clinical experience
* Understanding of the HEE Roadmap to Practice and the MSK Core capabilities Framework
Desirable
* Prior FCP or MSK Triage experience (private or NHS)
* Experience working in GP practices
* Experience using SystmOne
