Sayjo Recruitment Ltd are acting on behalf of a client to recruit a Goods Out Coordinator. In this role, you will be reporting into the Transport Manager and working closely with Stores & Purchasing Coordinator and take responsibility for overseeing the daily operations and administrative tasks involved in the shipment of finished goods. Your primary focus will be on ensuring efficient handling, accurate documentation, and adherence to quality standards.
Responsibilities:
* Manage the internal storage allocation and movement of all finished goods and outgoing shipments.
* Ensure proper arrangement of stocks with correct identification and labelling for accurate tracking.
* Produce accurate dispatch notes for every load.
* Handle returned stock by appropriately allocating it to departments or disposing of it correctly.
* Scan Proof of Deliveries (PODs), conduct proof checks, and ensure accessibility of delivery notes for customer care review.
* Coordinate the loading and unloading of vehicles, ensuring safe and secure transport of goods.
* Ensure timely departure of drivers with full loads.
* Provide timesheets for staff
* Prepare outgoing stock for deliveries.
* Monitor for damaged or missing items and follow the appropriate reporting procedures.
Requirements:
* Previous experience in warehouse management, shipping, or related fields.
* Strong organizational and time management skills.
* Attention to detail and accuracy in documentation.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
* Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
* Knowledge of quality standards and procedures.
* Proficiency in relevant software applications for inventory management and tracking.
Roles and Responsibilities:
1. Inventory Management: Oversee the storage, allocation, and movement of finished goods within the warehouse to ensure accurate inventory levels and efficient use of space.
2. Shipment Coordination: Coordinate the timely and accurate dispatch of finished goods, including preparing necessary documentation such as dispatch notes and ensuring proper labelling of shipments.
3. Quality Assurance: Monitor incoming and outgoing shipments to ensure compliance with quality standards, including conducting inspections and addressing any discrepancies or issues.
4. Returns Handling: Manage the process for handling returned stock, including assessing the condition of returned items, determining appropriate actions (e.g., restocking, disposal), and updating inventory records accordingly.
5. Logistics Coordination: Coordinate with logistics partners and carriers to schedule pickups and deliveries, ensuring timely and efficient transportation of finished goods to customers.
6. Team Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including production, customer service, and sales, to ensure alignment on inventory levels, shipment priorities, and customer requirements.
7. Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements within the finished goods handling and shipping processes, implement solutions, and monitor results to drive efficiency and cost savings.
Working hours are Mon – Thurs 07.30 – 4.45pm and Fri 07.30 -11.30
£15.00 per hour
39 hours a week with 2 x 15 mins break and 1 x 30 mins lunch break.
