We are seeking a passionate and skilled Junior Sous Chef or Sous Chef to join a prestigious restaurant located in a picturesque Northumberland village, known for its breathtaking coastline and rich history. This renowned venue is recognised for its relaxed yet refined dining experience, serving fresh, locally sourced seafood. The restaurant proudly holds a 2 AA Rosette for its commitment to quality and culinary excellence.

The ideal candidate will have experience in a high-calibre restaurant, particularly working with seafood, and will possess strong leadership skills to support the head chef. While previous rosette-level experience is highly desirable, those with a drive to work with fresh, seasonal ingredients and deliver exceptional flavours will thrive here.

Skills and Experience Needed:

* You should have a strong background in working with a variety of fresh seafood dishes, ensuring that the ingredients are handled with care and prepared to the highest standard.
* Ideally, you will have worked in a 2 AA Rosette or similarly high-quality restaurant, demonstrating your ability to deliver exceptional food.
* You will need to support and mentor junior chefs, contributing to a collaborative and well-organised kitchen.
* Your creativity will shine through as you help develop daily specials and seasonal menus, showcasing local produce in innovative ways.
* Maintaining high standards of food hygiene, safety, and organisation is crucial to ensure a smooth-running kitchen.
* You'll also need to be adaptable, thriving in a fast-paced environment, and passionate about working with fresh, seasonal, and locally sourced ingredients.

Salary, Benefits, and Opportunities:

* This role offers a competitive salary, reflective of the high standards expected in a 2 AA Rosette restaurant.
* Accommodation for a single person is available, helping to ease the relocation process.
* Sponsorship is available for the right candidate, though preference will be given to those already based in the UK.
* Salary in the regions of £33,000-£35,000.
