*About the Role*
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced *Duty Solicitor* to join our established criminal defence team based in *Alsager, Cheshire*. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated solicitor looking to work within a supportive and professional environment, providing high-quality representation to clients across Cheshire and surrounding areas.
*Key Responsibilities*
* Represent clients at police stations as part of the Police Station Duty Solicitor rota
* Provide expert legal advice and representation in criminal matters
* Manage your own caseload efficiently and independently
* Attend Magistrates’ Court as required
* Ensure compliance with SRA and Legal Aid Agency requirements
* Maintain high standards of client care and professional conduct
*Requirements*
* Qualified Solicitor with a current practising certificate
* Duty Solicitor accreditation preferred but can provide training for right candidate.
* Experience in criminal defence work
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team
* Strong advocacy, communication and organisational skills
* Full UK driving licence and access to transport (preferred due to police station attendance requirements)
