Job Description
We are currently working in partnership with a Housing Association based in central Manchester, who are recruiting for a Health & Safety Manager on a temporary six-to-eight-week contract.
The position is due to start immediately, with the potential to go full time. The hourly rate of pay is negotiable up to £40.00 via an Umbrella company.
The ideal candidate will hold either a NEBOSH or IOSH qualification, live within a commutable distance of central Manchester and be willing to start a role on the 5th January 2026.
Duties will include (but are not limited to):
1. Staying up to date with health and safety legislation, codes of practice, and regulations, and advising leaders on any implications for the organisation
2. Leading the development and review of health and safety policies and procedures to ensure they are effective and compliant
3. Championing a strong health and safety culture across the organisation, promoting best practice at all levels
4. Planning, implementing, and monitoring health and safety action plans, providing constructive feedback on performance across all business areas
