About the Role Join our team as a Community Engagement Coordinator in West Dunbartonshire. Are you a compassionate and motivated individual who wants to support people to change their lives? Our West Dunbartonshire service is looking for a Community Engagement Coordinator to play a key role in delivering high-quality recovery care to a diverse client group. This role is funded by The Big Lottery. If you’re enthusiastic, creative and passionate about making a real difference, we’d love to hear from you. WithYou in West Dunbartonshire is a free and confidential service that supports people concerned about their own, or someone else's alcohol or drug use. We have a main Recovery Base however much of our work is carried out across the local community. We work with people at all stages on their journey providing both one to one support and structured group work, alongside wellbeing and social activities. You will be working within a highly skilled and knowledgeable multi-disciplinary team - find out more about the service on our website. As a Community Engagement Coordinator, we offer a starting salary of £28,325, rising each year in line with our pay progression salary bands, to £32,960 per year. Evening and weekend work will be required. Job Opportunity As a Community Engagement Coordinator, you will establish and maintain a strong network of local partner agencies to support and enhance the delivery of community engagement and volunteering initiatives. Your main stakeholder will be people with lived experience of drug and alcohol use, who you will work alongside to develop a range of wellbeing activities and social events throughout the year. You will identify and develop a range of suitable volunteer placements, both internally and externally and provide ongoing support to individuals throughout their time involved with the service. You will be highly organised, have excellent communication skills, and be able to manage your time effectively. Above all, we are looking for someone who is passionate about what we do and has a positive and engaging approach to our clients and key stakeholders.
