Dufferin Arms is a busy, family run pub in the picturesque village of Killyleagh, Co. Down. We run a fast-paced kitchen with a down to earth team who work hard to deliver great food and service in a safe & fun environment. We are looking for an experienced or keen to learn KITCHEN PORTER (or PORTERS) to join our team. shifts can be flexible depending on number of successful applicants. The ideal candidate for this position has previous experience however it is not required as enthusiasm will make up for lack of experience. You should enjoy working in a busy restaurant environment and be capable of taking direction well and multi-tasking effectively. A successful candidate will either have restaurant industry experience or be keen to learn, have a passion for food prep, and strong work ethic.
Responsibilities:
* Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
* Adhere to health and safety regulations according to company & EHO policy.
* Wash dishes, pots, pans and equipment with care and diligence.
* Help with basic food prep by preparing ingredients for cooking, including washing, peeling, cutting, and measuring when required.
* Plate up desserts when required according to in house training and prep guidelines.
* Support chefs and wider kitchen team whenever needed.
* Leave kitchen clean and tidy at end of shift.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent, Fixed term contract, Zero hours contract
Pay: £10.00-£13.00 per hour
Expected hours: 20 – 35 per week
