Role Overview
Clinical Lead – HC‑One, Newcastle Upon Tyne
Lead clinical practice and mentor staff in a dementia and residential care home environment. Deliver high‑quality care, support teams and ensure all clinical standards are met.
Responsibilities
* Provide specialist nursing support and advice to residents and staff.
* Ensure clinical care meets statutory, regulatory and legal standards.
* Take responsibility for resident care when the Home Manager is absent.
* Supervise and coach colleagues to deliver care that is person‑centred and empathic.
* Advocate and deliver a person‑centred approach to care for residents and their families.
* Support safeguarding: recognise signs of abuse or neglect and report appropriately.
* Maintain and sustain NMC registered practice and perform CPD/assessment roles for students.
Qualifications
* Registered Nurse (RN) with a valid NMC PIN number.
* Experience in dementia, residential or specialist care homes preferred.
* Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
* Ability to mentor and provide assessment to students.
* Experience in safeguarding and risk management.
